Seven Aphorisms to Live By, From Mom
My Mom has always shared historic quotations and relevant sayings to friends and family as a way to support, inform and celebrate.
In celebration of Mother's Day 2015, I thought I would post seven aphorisms that I gathered and shared with her in honor of her 70th birthday, which was not too long ago.
Here's the list:
Love powerfully and unconditionally, but don't make a big deal about it.
Do the right thing, even when no one is looking.
Sweat the details. They make all the difference.
Be loyal and true to the things that you know and the people that you love.
Old friends are the best kind. Do your level best to keep in touch with them.
Stay curious. Search out new knowledge. Ask questions that get to the heart of the matter.
Be fearless. Push forward even when the outcome is uncertain, scary or seems impossible. Odds are you can do it.
Thank you, Mom, for living and embodying each of these aphorisms and sharing their wisdom with all of us. You motivate and inspire me to be a better person by living and breathing these tenets every day. I love you. Happy Mother's Day!
