Today I begin my next professional chapter as a senior communications specialist for Portland State University. After two and half years doing marketing, communications, and development for the School of Social Work at PSU, I’ll be bringing my public relations and media skills to the broader university environment. In this role I’ll be writing media pitches, producing press conferences, and facilitating inquiries from area and national TV, newspaper, and new media outlets for every college, school, and program at PSU. In short, it will be about telling the many compelling stories of teaching, learning, and research going on here at PSU. I’m looking forward to the new challenge and working with my new colleagues.
